I prefer to go solo that way the experience is not diluted by or opinion changed by commentary and discussion after the film is over.

I of course enjoy company though as well.

I called it quits after seeing the "Dark Blight Begins" in the cinema and have not been to the moves since...it is more cost-effective and there is a pause and off button at home. If you don't like the movie you can turn it off and watch something else without being pissed off that you wasted ten bucks and an hour of round trip travel and ticket buying etc...

I've never do it, but if I want to see a movie and none of my friends will come with me, why not?

I have and I met new people, now than I'm married I've always go with my wife and kid... unless its a geeky movie and I go with my geeky friends

They're not as fun as I like to giggle and poke the people next to me, but nothing wrong with kicking up your feet and relaxing to a movie on your way home from work or something. <3

The day before I moved away from home, I went and saw Scott Pilgrim by myself, 'cause my friends either had work or other plans.
It was one of the best/most depressing days of my life, but I don't regret it xD

I will wait until it's on video if I'm gonna watch it alone but I'm not one of those assholes who talks in movies so I guess it wouldn't make a difference if someone was with me or not.
