I am actually more then comfortable with waiting for months as long as the artist gives me a reason or have an obvious list of commisions that has to be done. Like, well, you do xD
Can always expect to wait if the artist have a long list of commisions to do. Expecting something in 2 weeks from a person that has to do like 6+ commisions before you is.. Redicules.
Longest I've waited so far is 9+ months. However, after a bunch of bull, I got my money back and told her to forget it. (You can read about THAT on my journal.) Three months is usually when I'd start to worry.
no i commissioned him at an anime convention in california, and hes just repeatedly made excuses like, saying that he had other commissions he had to work on first, i even told him hes had me waiting a few years now and then he promises to get it done but never comes through

I understand artists can be busy at times, but I wouldn't want to be waiting forever for something I paid you for.
Then one day, pop in.
They gave me two because they had forgotten.
