I'm a patient person myself, so I can wait for as long as it takes for my favorite artist to deliver my art. But sometimes two months can turn into two years.

i can be tolerant on time constraints and such because i know the situations that can setback an artist, but there's a threshold that can be crossed from simple delays that go to just plain procrastination.

in your case, i'd wait a month tops.

From absolute favourite? Way more.

Keeping in mind that its my "favorite" artist. I would wait for a few moments considering it would be an honor just to be considered for a commission. To be recognized as my favorite artist would set that person pretty high up there in my opinion.

That depends on several things actually... but for the most part, I am fairly patient.

I actually waited a whole year without any updates before finally cancelling. xD She wasn't getting back to me and I had better things to spend my shit on. >_> And she still hasn't contacted me.
Other than that I've only waited 6-8 months for a different one, but that one was eventually finished with some threats because I paid $50 for it. -_- Some chick at Otakon put me through the runaround to get my commission.

I've waited 2 months before but it was worth the wait, the picture came out amazing! I say it's ok as long as it is worth the wait.
