Okay... Just sort of announcing this now...So there will be a bigger journal later... but tonight I will be opening up commissions and stuff. If any of you remember, last year I almost went/did go bankrupt at tax season. America is not kind to the self-employed, particularly the artists... and despite my best efforts to save up and remain frugal and live on a diet of target-brand semi-real chicken only... I just can't cut it. I saved up as much as I could spare, and it just doesn't look like it will be enough... At least not enough to pay my state AND federal taxes. Ugh. It's times like this I regret trying to be legitimate in my efforts... The government is just going to rape me up the ass... and for what? ...... sigh.....
Anyway... As a last ditch effort I will be doing everything I can to raise funds and prevent myself from being audited...
This includes:
- The opening of commissions tonight or tomorrow! Don't ask yet, I'll have prices up soon!
- A sale and promotion on prints where you can win stuff like dakis.
- A DONATE BUTTON!!
- ANYTHING ELSE I CAN THINK OF
Seriously... I feel really bad about having a donate button up, but I don't want to be stubborn about it anymore. I just don't like to feel like I'm begging... I really really believe in working and providing a service or goods for your income. I have tried to work EXTRA hard so that I don't have to open commissions and such, but I didn't quite cut it out... I'm trying to stay positive though.
But yes. Donate button is up above! I will take on as many commissions as I can, but I probably won't be able to get every one who wants one done. But if you are feeling generous, the donate button is there! EVERY LITTLE BIT COUNTS... And as usual, Print and Shirt sales are always nice! Anthing really...
I'm really feeling bad right now. Very stressed and very disappointed I wasn't able to make this work like I had tried so hard to. I have been anxiously awaiting these numbers, and I was so confident I had done enough, but I just didn't pull through enough...
